How to Take Perfect Palm Photos for a Spot-On Online Reading

Why Photo Quality Matters

Your entire reading hinges on the clarity of the lines and mounts we can see. Blown-out highlights or deep shadows will erase tiny breaks and forks the same way over-exposed X-rays hide hairline fractures. A crisp, evenly-lit image lets us zoom to 200 % without guesswork, meaning your reading is faster and more accurate.

Quick Checklist (Print or Screenshot)

  1. Choose bright, soft light

    • Stand beside a large window or step into open shade outdoors. Avoid overhead bulbs that cast harsh shadows.

  2. Use a plain, dark background

    • A navy towel or matte table top adds contrast so the pale skin of your palm pops.

  3. Prep your hands

    • Wash, dry, and (optionally) dab a drop of coconut oil for subtle sheen that boosts line definition.

  4. Frame the whole hand

    • Fingers comfortably spread, thumb relaxed, camera parallel to the palm. Fill 80 % of the frame.

  5. Focus & expose

    • Tap the Life-Line area on screen; lower exposure if highlights blow out.

  6. Shoot both hands

    • Start with dominant hand, then repeat for non-dominant.

  7. Take 3 angles each

    • Taking photos from different angles gives us the complete picture.

  8. Send at original resolution

    • Attach to email or WhatsApp as documents, not compressed photos.
